Afreen Chowdhury completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto. Afreen has offered psychotherapy in various settings as in-patient/outpatient hospital units, community organizations, as well helped develop and facilitate mental health groups for diverse populations. Afreen works from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and intersectional approach. She is trained in various evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, crisis interventions, and narrative therapy.
