Gloria Cardey is a registered social worker who has been in practice for over 30 years. Gloria worked at the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph for 26 years and gained valuable knowledge and experience in several specialized areas. These include extensive work and advanced training with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (includes MVA, military trauma, workplace trauma and childhood and adult physical and sexual abuse). She also has intensive experience with substance abuse treatment, relapse prevention and recovery issues that continue in spite of abstinence.

Summary
I have had extensive training in EMDR, Hypnosis and Brainspotting. My areas of expertise include working with anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, complicated and traumatic loss and relationship problems. I also specialize in PTSD that includes emotional, physical and sexual abuse, trauma involving military, first responders, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Because I have a wide range of training I am able to approach treatment to the unique needs of every client. My approach is compassionate, supportive and honors each person's life experience.
