I work with individuals and couples using a long-term and relational approach. It allows us to take the time to explore how your earliest beginnings influence your later life. Using a relational approach to therapy is important to build trust in order to explore intricate historical issues. A commitment to longer term work with me is the best way to see positive transformation. After 25 years as a counsellor, social worker and academic, I believe that human resiliency is as strong as ever and given the right support, optimistic changes can occur.

Summary
Born in the UK, I studied Counselling at the Central School of London Counselling achieving a qualification in Counselling that allowed me to set up a practice in the UK. As a counsellor, I had my own private practice and worked for the charity Mind. This is where my connection to the psychoanalytic approach developed. Inspired by my counselling work I went on to receive my Bachelor of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from the University of East London.
