Description

I am a first-generation Tamil Canadian and have witnessed the impacts of suppressing our feelings and emotions in our society. We are not always taught how to express ourselves but it is crucial to know that it's okay to be who we are. What is perceived sometimes as a weakness is a display of strength; overcoming barriers and stigma to be true to ourselves. As we uphold our cultural values, it is important always to value ourselves and be authentic. Oftentimes, we are our own worst critics, together we can learn how to be more compassionate to ourselves and grow into who we want to be.
