Description
Clients seeking to re-establish emotional well-being will value my collaborative approach. Young adults struggling with the next phase of independence and families or couples establishing boundaries and expectations of each other are also relationship difficulties we can address. Compassion guides my support of adults or adolescents with anxiety. My trauma therapy training and lived experience with ADHD was deepened by my bounce-back journey from a catastrophic car crash in 2016. Ten years as a suicide prevention trainer and 20yrs of crisis-line volunteering helped hone my listening skills.

Summary
My psychotherapy service may be focused on coping strategies for clients diagnosed or suspected ADHD; or offering coaching for professional facing career challenges associated with what ADHD thought-leader Dr. Russell Barkley calls "Intention Deficit Disorder" IDD not ADD. The Gottman Method guides my couples counselling approach when newlyweds are strengthening their recent commitment or a rupture has occurred between long-time partners. For First Responders' PTSD or an individual/family's MVA trauma I use Somatic Experiencing approaches for crisis stabilization and biopsychosocial safety.
