Description

Amy recognizes that it can take a great deal of courage and effort to come to therapy and do the work involved. Amy’s goal is for clients to feel accepted and safe in the counselling relationship so that they can work towards increased self-awareness, compassion, and growth. Amy uses a client-centered approach that is informed by the following theoretical orientations: Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice.

At A Holding Place, our counsellors offer individual, couple and family counselling. We work with adults, adolescents and children to help deal with a variety of issues. We offer our clients a warm, welcoming and safe space to get the support they need.

No matter where you are in Newfoundland and Labrador, you can meet with one of our clinicians for telephone or video counselling sessions.

We are open and we are taking new clients.
We offer in person sessions and virtual, by video and telephone.
