Description
I joined the Canadian Army when I was 17 as a private. I retired 10 years later as a Platoon Commander with a UN Peackeeping Mission under my belt. What I learned in the Army was Leadership. It is this skillset that I bring to my style of counselling. I bring compassionate, but assertive, leadership to family sessions that reduce open conflict and help individual adult clients approach their addictions honestly.

Summary
I have two main branches in my private practice. I provide family counselling to families with acting out teens. I also provide general Addiction Therapy to adults. I work from an attachment perspective. Pain, shame, and trauma result in diconnection and a movement towards unhealthy copng strategies. By repairing relationships and the capacity to be empathetic we start the healing journey.
