Office of Hillary Nieman, M.OMSc, BA Kin. Osteopathy is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on therapy that focuses on re-aligning the body and restoring movement. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner looks for asymmetry and motion restriction, and applies a variety of techniques to treat the fascia, muscles, and ligamentous tissue. When the soft tissue is unrestricted and each joint is moving properly, this reduces strain placed on the body. It also allows the nervous, vascular, and lymphatic systems to flow freely. This helps to restore health to all areas of the body.
