According to the recommendations of the American Association of Orthodontists, the first orthodontic visit should be around the age of 7. At an early age, we can monitor permanent tooth eruption and guide the growth of the jaws. An early consultation can help avoid jaw surgery or extractions that would have been necessary in some cases.
