Dr. Maria Wang was born in Taiwan and moved to Costa Rica at a very young age. She spent 10 years in Costa Rica before moving to Vancouver, Canada, which is her permanent home now. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2003 with a degree in Microbiology and Immunology, and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2007. During her Optometry training, Dr. Wang spent time in specialty clinics including: pediatrics, ocular health, binocular vision, contact lens, low vision and gerontology.
