Dr. Joanna Komar graduated with honors and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. She then went on to complete an Ocular Disease residency at the New York VA Hospital in Brooklyn. For five years Dr. Komar was a part of a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic in Queens, New York, where she gained an extensive experience managing a variety of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, neuro-ophthalmic eye problems and eye infections. She has also been co-managing cataract surgery patients, as well as fitting contact lenses.
