Description
Dr. Yowakim graduated with Dean’s Honours from the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo. He received early acceptance into the program after only three years in undergraduate Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, where he was awarded the Dean’s Award of Excellence. In his final year of studies, Dr. Yowakim completed an externship at the Tallahassee Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Florida, where he worked alongside eye surgeons and managed ocular diseases including cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma, uveitis and macular degeneration.
