Dr Duimering graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree (deans honours) in 2021. She ranked highest in her class in clinical optometry, receiving both the JC Thompson Memorial Prize for Optometry and the AAOF Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care. During her studies she travelled with a missions team to provide eyecare in rural Haiti. She spent her 4th year primary care clinical externship working under the supervision of Dr Andreasen and was so excited to officially join the Oxford Optometry team!
