Dr. Scott Friskie was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Regina in 1991. Dr. Friskie went on to complete his doctorate in Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston Massachusetts in 1995. In his final year in Boston, Dr. Friskie completed his clinical externships at various clinics throughout the United States. The Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia, The Barnett Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the Dorchester Eye Center in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Founded in Alberta in 2008 by a group of independent optometrists, FYidoctors has grown to be Canada's largest doctor-owned and professionally managed eye care provider with over 270 locations nationwide.
