Description
Dr. Steven Malo graduated with Honors in 2006 from the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry. During his final year at university, he interned at a leading eye disease referral center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Malo is originally from the small town of Simcoe, Ontario. He decided to move to his wife’s hometown of Winnipeg where he began practising in Portage la Prarie before joining Transcona Optical in 2009. Dr. Malo is currently a member of the complaints committee for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists. Dr. Malo enjoys raising his young family and playing hockey and golf.

Our optometrists are trained to diagnose & treat many vision problems & eye conditions including cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma & macular degeneration. We specialize in urgent eye care, pre & post operative surgical care, consultations & referrals, adjustment & repair of glasses, & regular and custom contact fits. We offer care in English & French & on Saturdays.
