Description
Dr. Derika’s passion for naturopathic medicine was first ignited while studying health science and biology at the University of Western Ontario. It was here where she was first introduced to the concepts which explain why some of the population seem to be healthier than others. Like many others, she too assumed that health was ultimately determined by one’s genetics. However, to her delight, she discovered that while certain genes may increase one’s susceptibility to disease, it is one’s daily habits and choices that truly dictate one’s health outcomes and overall quality of life.
