Description

Dr. Marcio Barros was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the middle child of three siblings. His passion for dentistry began at an early age, when he spent time learning about the profession at his mother's dental practice. It was there that he began to learn the traits of compassion, dedication and self discipline , which would aid him in his own efforts to become a dentist. Upon graduation from the University of Sao Paulo in 1991 Dr. Barros completed a three year orthodontic program.
After getting settled in Canada, Dr. Barros returned to the university life to become acquainted with the diversity of general practice once again. In the spring of 2013 he graduated from the International Dental Degree Completion Program at  U.B.C. with a doctorate in dental medicine.
