Dr. Burns was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree at St. F. X. University in 2009, before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 2013. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Burns interests include soccer, basketball, painting, and walks at Point Pleasant Park with her Burmese Mountain dog.
