Description

My name is Dr. Ivit Yakub, I received a Doctor of Dental surgery from Dalhousie University. I am motivated to be part of the forces that promote and improve an individual or community’s oral health and well-being. Improving one’s oral health does not depend on mere technical skills and academic knowledge alone. It transcends to combine interpersonal skills, compassion, enthusiasm and an ethical obligation to the profession itself. With this understanding, practicing as a dentist allows me to aid patients with a growing understanding and sensitivity to the vast cultural differences in our communities. Therefore, I continually see the necessity to create mutual trust and respect with patients and I am truly motivated to serve in this capacity.
