Description
In my work with people, we focus on your lived experience. There are good reasons why you do what you do, and counselling encourages increased awareness and self-acceptance. In a supportive environment, approaching the origins of your problems can be painful but the truth is that you're already suffering. Together, we can face what needs to be faced, you can digest (process) what needs to be digested, and start recovering. Along the way you find you have more freedom and energy to make the changes you want to make – in how you treat yourself, connect with others, and move through the world.

Ellen Abrams Counselling & Psychotherapy

Summary
Working with adults, I find that underlying any specific problems, most people are grappling with four basic issues: ● How to be your real self ● How to get along with other people ● How to truly enjoy your life ● How to increase self-awareness I will support you to address both your specific problems and to look more deeply into these four underpinnings. The aim of therapy is for you to feel more at ease in your own skin (self-acceptance), improve your connections with others, and increase your sense of belonging and agency in the world.
